Lo Spumante Metodo Classico della cantina Villa Raiano è un vino prezioso ottenuto da uve Fiano e Greco, combinate in percentuali variabili a seconda dell’annata. Le uve provengono da vigne situate nella parte bassa delle colline Irpine, lungo le rive del fiume Sabato, che attraversa le terre dedicate sia al Fiano sia al Greco. Dopo la vinificazione, questo spumante riposa per 36 mesi sui lieviti, un ciclo produttivo seguito con cura dall’azienda in ogni sua fase.

Il vino si presenta con un colore giallo tenue dai riflessi verdognoli, valorizzato da un perlage fine e persistente che cattura immediatamente lo sguardo. Al naso si rivela austero ma gentile, con profumi di crosta di pane fresco, melone bianco e pesca bianca, arricchiti da delicate note minerali e mentolate. Il quadro aromatico si completa con la dolcezza del cioccolato bianco e un elegante sentore affumicato.

In bocca si mostra fresco e raffinato, con bollicine perfettamente integrate. Pur non essendo eccessivamente corposo, sorprende per la sua morbidezza e pienezza, sostenute da una vivace acidità che ne esalta la freschezza. Il finale è imprevedibile, con un ritorno di intense note floreali che chiude l’esperienza in modo armonioso.

Perfetto con primi piatti a base di frutti di mare, crostacei, minestre leggere di legumi o zuppe di pesce.

Winery history
Villa Raiano was established in 1996 in the former facilities of the Basso family’s olive oil mill in the hamlet of Raiano. The current winery, a modern facility integrated into the landscape, was built in 2009 on a hill in the area of San Michele di Serino and serves as the estate’s operational hub.
Production philosophy
Showcasing the territory and Irpinia's indigenous varieties, the estate works to convey the landscape and the soil-and-climate differences of each vineyard, offering ranges that reflect the identity of individual plots and prioritizing organic farming practices.
Terroir and vineyards
Irpinia: vineyards spread across several municipalities and elevations that influence microclimates and soils; the winery overlooks the valley of the Sabato River and the surrounding hills, and produces wines in the main denominations of the province of Avellino.
