The Stefano Barolo DOCG 2021 by Mario Marengo expresses the typical elegance of Nebbiolo: aromas of fresh cherry and raspberry intertwine with notes of withered rose, tea leaf and a hint of licorice and pepper. In the glass it shows a fine texture, with lively acidity that supports the fruit without being aggressive; the structure remains linear and a subtle earthy streak can be perceived, balancing the aromatic palette and making the whole clear and inviting.

On the palate it reveals tannins that are already compact but well balanced, smooth and slightly savory; the sip is long and measured, with a persistent finish that recalls dried flowers and sweet spices. It shines with red meats, braises and aged cheeses; decanting or a few hours of opening enhance its aromas. Indicative serving temperature 16-18 °C; it is a Barolo of balance and personality, ready now but with room to evolve in bottle.

Winery history
