The Taurasi DOCG "Piano di Montevergine" from Feudi di San Gregorio shows an intense, clear ruby color. On the nose it offers a complex, measured bouquet with notes of dark berries, light spicy hints, subtle floral nuances and a discreet earthy note. The olfactory balance favors fresh elements and a touch of minerality; the overall impression is coherent and invites careful tasting.

On the palate it displays structure and well-defined tannins, supported by balanced acidity that promotes a harmonious progression. The body is full but controlled, with a persistent finish and pleasant length. Versatile in pairings, suitable both for the table and for more intimate tasting moments; it pairs well with hearty dishes such as flavorful meats, stews and aged cheeses, and suits contemplative tasting occasions. Serving temperature 16–18°C; store in a cool, sheltered place; the bottle may develop further nuances if properly kept. Also ideal with mushroom-based dishes.
