Taurasi DOCG Riserva "Radici" by Mastroberardino is a red wine with a notable presence and a restrained style. In the glass it shows a deep ruby color; on the nose it opens with aromas of ripe dark fruit, spicy nuances and a subtle earthy note that adds complexity. On the palate it is full and structured: the tannic framework is pronounced but well integrated, acidity supports the drinkability, and the finish is persistent with a savory close. The overall impression is of balance between substance and finesse, without excess.

It pairs well with hearty dishes such as roasted meats, braised game and aged cheeses; it also suits mushroom-based dishes and rich sauces. To appreciate its complexity, a short aeration in a carafe or decanting is useful, and a moderate serving temperature around 16–18 °C is recommended. Those who wish can cellar it further to follow the development of its aromas and tannins.
