The Pinot Nero DOC Friuli "Terre Magre" from Piera Martellozzo is a true expression of the Friulian territory, distinguished by its elegance and complexity. This wine is the result of a meticulous selection of Pinot Nero grapes, cultivated in the renowned vineyards of Terre Magre, a particularly well-suited area thanks to its unique terroir, characterized by rich, well-drained soil that contributes to the wine's remarkable finesse.

Visually, the Pinot Nero "Terre Magre" presents a delicate yet bright ruby red color. On the nose, it offers a sophisticated and inviting bouquet that ranges from notes of ripe red fruits like cherry and strawberry to more evolved hints of underbrush, sweet spices, and a slight touch of vanilla, stemming from wood aging.

On the palate, the wine is seductive for its elegance and balance. The attack is soft and velvety, with finely intertwined tannins that lead to a medium body. The acidity is well-balanced and contributes to a persistent freshness, inviting another sip. The finish is clean and delicately persistent, with a return of the fruity notes perceived on the nose.

This Pinot Nero is excellent when served at a temperature of 16-18°C and pairs splendidly with delicate dishes such as beef carpaccio, mushroom-based dishes, or even roasted poultry. Also perfect as a conversation wine, the "Terre Magre" can be enjoyed on its own, allowing its complexity to unfold sip by sip.

Considered an excellence in the Friulian wine scene, the Pinot Nero DOC Friuli "Terre Magre" from Piera Martellozzo represents an excellent choice for those seeking a wine that combines tradition, terroir, and artisanal craftsmanship.

Winery history
The company’s history dates back to the late 19th century, with the first generation of the Martellozzo family active in 1899 in the province of Padua. In the 1990s Piera, of the third generation, took the helm of the business, began re-evaluating indigenous grape varieties and launched its first organic line. In the early 2000s the headquarters were consolidated in San Quirino, in the Friuli Grave area, serving as the starting point for expansion into national and international markets.
Production philosophy
The estate combines respect for the land with an innovative approach: careful selection of well‑suited vineyard parcels, the production of wines that reflect the local territory, and a focus on sustainable practices through measures such as photovoltaic systems, lightweight packaging, water reuse and careful selection of label materials.
Terroir and vineyards
Primarily operating in Friuli-Venezia Giulia, with ties to the Triveneto region; the wines are an expression of gravelly soils and a microclimate tempered by the Adriatic and sheltered by the mountains to the north.
