The 70 cl bottling is presented in an elegant case, which underlines its quality and makes it ideal both for tasting and as a sophisticated gift. The aging process in former beer barrels gives this whisky an unusually rich aromatic profile, with light and fresh notes reminiscent of the malts used in beer production, balanced by a background of moderate sweetness.
On the palate, the Togouchi Beer Cask offers surprising complexity. Initially, there are touches of malt and yeast, followed by a subtle sweetness reminiscent of caramel and vanilla, a legacy of the beer barrels. The finish is smooth, with an aftertaste that lingers pleasantly, leaving an impression of balance and freshness.
This whisky is perfect to be enjoyed neat or with a drop of water to enhance further aromas and flavors. It is an excellent choice for whisky lovers looking for something different from the usual, a product that encompasses the essence of Japanese innovation and tradition.

Distillation
The historic blends do not originate from in-house distillation but from blending and ageing of imported distillates; the more recent single malts are distilled using traditional methods at the Sakurao Distillery.
Ageing
Maturation in casks using characteristic warehouses (including an underground tunnel in Togouchi/Akiota with constant temperature and humidity); use of primary maturation followed by finishes in different cask types.
