Traminer Friuli Isonzo DOC - Ronco Del Gelso is born in the heart of the Friuli region, famous for its mineral-rich soils and temperate climate, ideal for enhancing the delicacy of aromatic grape varieties. Made from Traminer grapes, this wine captivates with its intense bouquet, where acacia flowers and sweet spice notes intertwine with hints of exotic fruit and light touches of aromatic herbs.

On the palate, it is elegant and soft, with a pleasant savoriness that balances the refreshing freshness, making it suitable for numerous culinary pairings. The aging in steel preserves the genuineness of the aromas and the purity of the taste, helping to maintain the typical fragrance of Traminer. Perfect for delicate appetizers, fish dishes, and white meats, this wine offers a refined and persistent sensory experience.

Country: Italia
Founded: 1988
Grapes: Pinot Grigio, Friulano, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Malvasia Istriana, Riesling, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Gewürztraminer
Address: Via Isonzo 117, 34071 Cormons Founded: 1988 Declared production: approximately 150,000 bottles per year Vineyards in the Isonzo plain, on lean, stony soils. Recently built winery with full control over all production stages.
Winery history
Family-run winery: the Badin family cites 1988 as the year they first bottled under the Ronco del Gelso name. The estate shifted from livestock farming to wine production, growing from a few thousand initial bottles to a production, stated on their current website, of approximately 150,000 bottles annually.
Production philosophy
The company emphasizes full control of the production process. In the vineyard, agronomic choices are geared toward quality: trellised training using single Guyot, high planting density, soil management with cover crops and yield limitation to achieve wines that express the terroir.
Terroir and vineyards
The vineyards are located in the narrow strip of plain formed by the tributaries of the Isonzo, between the Isonzo plain and the Collio. The soils are described as lean, stony and dry, conditions the estate considers favorable for quality viticulture.
Awards and recognitions
