The Trento Brut Riserva DOC - Cuvée dell’Abate by Abate Nero is a rare gem in the panorama of Italian sparkling wines, an exquisite expression of Trentino viticulture. This sparkling wine is the creation of a meticulous selection of Chardonnay and Pinot Nero grapes, grown in the ideal climatic conditions that only Trentino can offer, with its rich soils and unique microclimates.

The Cuvée dell’Abate results from a long bottle aging, undergoing a maturation process for at least 36 months on the lees, which imparts extraordinary complexity and unmatched finesse to this sparkling wine. Aromatically, it opens with an elegant and complex bouquet, dominated by scents of ripe white fruit, notes of toasted bread, and hints of almond. On the palate, the Trento Brut Riserva DOC impresses with its freshness and perfect balance, featuring fine and persistent bubbles that gently caress the palate, leaving a creamy and enveloping sensation.

This sparkling wine is ideal for festive occasions and celebrations but also pairs beautifully with refined dishes, such as fish-based starters or delicate white meats. Its elegance also makes it perfect as an aperitif, offering a tasting experience that leaves a lasting impression.

For lovers of sparkling wines seeking a high-quality product that expresses the best of the Italian terroir, the Trento Brut Riserva DOC - Cuvée dell’Abate by Abate Nero is a top-tier choice, ensuring a rich and unforgettable sensory experience.

Winery history
Founded in the early 1970s by a group of enthusiasts including oenologist Luciano Lunelli, the winery takes its name from the image of the monk associated with the history of sparkling wine. The first cuvée dates back to the 1970s, and since then the winery has established itself in the Trentodoc scene thanks to a production focused on Traditional Method sparkling wines and growth based on quality-driven choices and extended aging.
Production philosophy
Artisanal production with careful attention at every stage of the traditional method: grape selection, meticulous cellar work and long periods of aging on the lees. The approach emphasizes the terroir of Trentino, focusing on elegance, finesse of the perlage and consistent quality rather than on large volumes.
Terroir and vineyards
Vineyards located on the hills between Trento and Lavis, in the mountainous and hilly landscape typical of Trentino. Traditional practices such as the pergola trentina are used in some parcels, and the grapes come from the most suitable areas of the DOC Trento.
Awards and recognitions
