Featuring a blend dominated by Grenache, accompanied by Syrah and Mourvèdre, it presents a rich bouquet of ripe red fruits, sweet spices, and a slight touch of vanilla, resulting from moderate aging in barrels.

On the palate, the Vacqueyras from Cave de Cairanne opens with a vigorous structure and well-balanced tannins, promising excellent aging potential. The taste complexity expresses itself through notes of plum, cassis, and black pepper, with a persistent finish returning to spicy and slightly woody tones.

This wine is ideal for accompanying rich dishes such as red meat roasts, game, or aged cheeses. Its elegant complexity and aromatic richness make it perfect also as a meditation wine. With this Vacqueyras, Cave de Cairanne offers a true expression of the local terroir, ideal for lovers of intense and structured reds.

Winery history
Founded as a cooperative in 1929, the Cave de Cairanne developed as a collective of local winegrowers. Today it brings together numerous members who work the vineyards in Cairanne and the surrounding area. The brand name Camille Cayran identifies the range of wines produced by the cooperative and reflects the collaborative work between the winegrowers and a central technical team.
Production philosophy
Careful vineyard work and respect for local heritage: soil care, rigorous grape selection and precise winemaking. The winery declares a combination of respect for traditional practices and openness to innovation, producing both conventional and organic wines and some cuvées with no added sulfites.
Terroir and vineyards
The vineyard is located in the heart of the crus of the southern Rhône Valley. The terrain is varied: alluvial terraces, garrigue and a hilly massif with limestone-clay soils, marls and pebbles. The Mediterranean climate, the strong Mistral wind and the pronounced day–night temperature variation characterize grape ripening. The location is close to appellations such as Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Gigondas and Vacqueyras.
Awards and recognitions
The winery has received numerous awards and medals in international guides and competitions; among these is being named "Cave Coopérative de l’Année 2024" by Revue des Vins, along with mentions and medals from Decanter, Mundus Vini and the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles, and citations in Guide Hachette.
