The Verduzzo Di Cialla from the Ronchi Di Cialla winery is a white wine that reflects the excellence and dedication in the production of quality wines from the native Verduzzo grape variety, grown in the lands of Friuli Venezia Giulia. This wine is a distinctive example that enhances the unique qualities of the grape, presenting a rich aromatic profile and a complex structure.

Visually, the wine shows a brilliant golden yellow color, with reflections that anticipate its richness. On the nose, Verduzzo Di Cialla opens with an intense aroma, dominated by hints of ripe yellow fruit such as peaches and apricots, accompanied by delicate notes of honey and wild flowers. There is also a subtle trace of sweet spices, resulting from aging in wooden containers which adds complexity to the bouquet.

On the palate, the wine reveals its extraordinary sweetness balanced by a fresh acidity. The sensations of candied fruit and honey blend with nuances of vanilla and almond, creating a rich and enveloping taste. The texture is soft and seductive, with a long and persistent finish that leaves an impression of elegance and fullness.

Perfect as a dessert wine, Verduzzo Di Cialla pairs beautifully with fruit-based desserts, jam tarts or blue cheeses. It is also an excellent meditation wine, to be sipped on its own to fully appreciate its complexity and character.

With its distinctive aromatic profile and its ability to evolve over time, Ronchi Di Cialla's Verduzzo Di Cialla is a wine that continues to enchant and surprise, representing a precious addition to any sweet wine collection or for special moments that require an exceptional glass of wine.

Winery history
The Rapuzzi family founded the estate in 1970 in the small Cialla valley, restoring local vineyards and helping to save Schioppettino when the variety was nearly lost. In the 1970s and 1980s the winery perfected the recovery of vine cuttings, produced the first vintages of Schioppettino and received recognition that brought Cialla’s wines to international auctions. The denomination and boundaries of the Cialla cru were officially established by ministerial acts and regulations in subsequent years, consolidating the estate’s reputation as a custodian of Friulian indigenous varieties.
Production philosophy
The estate works exclusively with native grape varieties, favoring controlled yields, selective harvesting and minimal agronomic interventions. In the cellar, winemaking is kept as natural as possible and wines undergo extended ageing — including in wood — to achieve long-lived wines with a strong expression of terroir. Biodiversity protection and low-impact practices are integral to the production method.
Terroir and vineyards
The winery is located in the Cialla valley, a small hilly amphitheatre overlooking the Colli Orientali del Friuli, characterized by a tempered microclimate between the Adriatic Sea and the Julian Alps and by marly, well-stratified soils that favor the cultivation of local indigenous varieties. The area is officially recognized as the cru CIALLA for certain traditional varieties.
