Descrizione

The Vermentino Toscana IGT from Santa Cristina is a white wine with a straightforward, unobtrusive character, intended to reflect the versatility of the variety in a Tuscan expression. In a bright straw colour, it shows aromas of ripe citrus, white flowers and light Mediterranean herbal notes; on the nose the profile remains clean and restrained, without excess. On the palate it offers balanced freshness, easy drinkability and a saline thread that supports the sip, with a finish that favours lightness over complexity.

It is suited to everyday drinking and informal occasions: it pairs with seafood starters, salads, light first courses and moderately savory fish dishes. To appreciate its balance it is preferable to drink it young, served at around 10–12 °C, so as to highlight its fresh aromas and slender structure. I suggest opening the bottle shortly before serving to allow the aromatic profile to express itself.

The Santa Cristina winery is presented online as an enterprise deeply rooted in the Cortona area.
