La Vigna Pugnane Barbera d’Alba 2024 by Mario Marengo offers an immediate and honest profile: in the glass it shows a bright ruby red with violet highlights, while the bouquet invites with ripe cherry, plum and a light hint of small red berries, accompanied by nuances of sweet spices and a herbaceous note that keeps everything lean. On the palate it is dominated by vibrant acidity that supports the fruit, with tannins present but well-rounded and a medium-bodied structure that makes the wine smooth and balanced; the finish remains pleasant and the final impression fresh.

This Barbera is designed for everyday enjoyment and pairs easily with rustic cuisine: cured meats, ragù pasta, roasted white meats and medium-aged cheeses will find a good balance with the wine. Serve around 14-16 °C to appreciate its freshness and fruity profile; ideal to drink now, it shows a naturally convivial character that enhances the meal without overpowering it.
