On the nose it opens with intense notes of honey, dried fruit, and delicate spices, accompanied by a fine smokiness that does not overpower the other scents. On the palate it reveals a soft and enveloping structure, where the smoky peat scent blends harmoniously with hints of vanilla, caramel, and a slightly salty touch, typical of the marine influences of Orkney.
The finish is long and warm, with an aftertaste ranging from ripe fruit to light spicy notes, ideal for those who love a rich but balanced whisky. Perfect to enjoy at the end of a meal, it pairs magnificently with aged cheeses or dark chocolate-based desserts, enhancing its taste complexity elegantly and satisfyingly.
