The Nikka Yoichi Single Malt Whisky, originating from the distillery of the same name located on the island of Hokkaido in Japan, is an exceptional example of how tradition and innovation can merge to create a spirit of extraordinary quality. With a capacity of 70cl, this single malt is characterized by its intense taste and aromatic complexity.
Matured in barrels that previously held American bourbon and sherry, the Nikka Yoichi Single Malt displays a rich aromatic profile ranging from notes of ripe fruit, such as apples and pears, to smoky and woody undertones imparted by the distinctive direct fire distillation technique. On the palate, it stands out for its perfect balance between sweetness and spices, with a slightly peaty aftertaste that leaves a pleasantly warm persistence.
This whisky is not only a delight for the palate but also represents a piece of Japanese history, reflecting the heritage and passion of the Yoichi distillery for excellence in whisky production. Ideal to be enjoyed neat, possibly accompanied by a glass of water to enhance all its flavors and nuances.
