The Togouchi Kiwami Blended Whisky stands out for its refinement and uniqueness, representing a perfect harmony between Scottish traditions and Japanese delicacies. Produced by the Chugoku Jozo distillery, located in a picturesque area of Hiroshima, this whisky is the result of a careful selection of malts and grains. Aged in abandoned tunnels that once served as a railway, Togouchi Kiwami offers an intriguing aromatic profile.
In the glass, it presents a light golden color. On the nose, it opens with delicately smoky notes, followed by hints of honey and vanilla that intertwine with nuances of nutmeg and white pepper. On the palate, it is smooth and velvety, characterized by a balanced sweetness that precedes a surprisingly fresh and persistent finish, enriched by a spicy aftertaste.
A blend that manages to be both elegant and complex at the same time, Togouchi Kiwami is ideal for being enjoyed neat or with a drop of water to enhance its aromas. Perfect for those seeking a refined and distinctly Japanese tasting experience.

Distillation
The historic blends do not originate from in-house distillation but from blending and ageing of imported distillates; the more recent single malts are distilled using traditional methods at the Sakurao Distillery.
Ageing
Maturation in casks using characteristic warehouses (including an underground tunnel in Togouchi/Akiota with constant temperature and humidity); use of primary maturation followed by finishes in different cask types.
