Coming from a distillery attentive to enhancing the terroir, using malted barley with moderate peatiness, the Paille Tourbè presents an intense amber color, bestowed by aging in fine wooden barrels. On the nose, sweet smoke accents, aromatic herbs, and light notes of vanilla emerge, while on the palate it reveals itself to be smooth yet structured, with a pleasant persistence of smoky and spicy hints.
Perfect to enjoy neat or with a splash of water to unleash all its nuances, this single malt splendidly accompanies moments of meditation or gastronomic pairings based on aged cheeses and smoked meats.
