The Giravolta Primitivo di Manduria DOP from Felline shows a warm, enveloping profile, typical of the variety and the area. In color it displays a deep ruby red with violet reflections; on the nose it opens on ripe black fruits, plum and dark cherry, with subtle notes of sweet spice and cocoa. The palate is full and dense without being heavy: the softness of the fruit is balanced by a good acidity that keeps the palate lively, while the tannins are smooth but well defined.

The finish is generous and leaves fruity returns and a slight sapidity that invites another taste. A wine of character, it pairs confidently with roasted or grilled meats, stews and aged cheeses, but it also stands up well to rich tomato-based dishes. Serve around 16–18 °C; opening it a little in advance allows the wine to open up and harmonize, expressing its structure and the typical warmth of Primitivo at its best.
