More questions
Polvanera 16 interprets the Primitivo of Gioia del Colle with a direct, sincere personality: in the glass it shows an intense ruby color and an aromatic profile centered on ripe red fruit, cherry and plum, with subtle spicy hints that do not overpower the wine. On the palate it is warm and enveloping but well balanced by a fresh acidity and a savory minerality that make it smooth and easy to drink; the tannins are soft, present just enough to provide structure without stiffening, and the finish leaves fruity traces and a slightly peppery note.
On tasting, one appreciates its ability to be at once generous and measured: perfect for those seeking a wine with character but honest in the balance between aroma and alcohol. This makes it an ideal companion for informal conviviality or a flavorful meal. It suits rustic Mediterranean dishes — grilled meats, hearty ragùs, hard cheeses — and should be served cool, around 16–18 °C, to bring out its grip and aromatic energy.

The story
Terroir and vineyards

Vitae AIS).
