More questions
Polvanera 17 is a Primitivo from Gioia del Colle DOC that emphasizes character without losing restraint. In the glass it shows an intense color and an aromatic profile dominated by ripe red fruits and notes of plum, accompanied by light spicy nuances and a hint of the Mediterranean. The sip is warm and enveloping but not flat: the softness of the glyceric base is balanced by a pleasant freshness and measured tannins that support the wine without weighing it down.
Its structure makes it suitable both for robust pairings — grilled meats, savory sauces and aged cheeses — and for more informal moments of enjoyment. The persistence is good, with fruity returns that invite a second glass; it benefits from moderate aeration. Also ideal with regional cuisine dishes. Serve at a cool but not cold temperature: this helps balance warmth and freshness, highlighting the straightforward character and the drinking pleasure typical of Primitivo.

The story
Terroir and vineyards
