"Ribeca" was born from careful work that lasted decades and a careful will dedicated to the recovery of an ancient vine: Perricone.
"Ribeca" is a concentrated and complex red from Sicily, but at the same time fine and elegant, produced on the Pianoro Cuddìa estate, with a truly masterful interpretation of a unique grape variety. After vinification, the wine is left to rest in French oak barriques for one year, and then refines for six months in the bottle.
A wine to try absolutely! At sight it has a dark ruby red color. The nose is complex and opens with fruity aromas of blackberry, plum and cherry, and then varying on hints of juniper berries and licorice on a background defined by nuances of ginger and cloves. In the mouth it is particularly enveloping and sumptuous, with an energetic and well balanced taste, of excellent persistence and full.
A perfect red to uncork with red meat or game; excellent with wild boar steak.
