Produced at the Aberlour distillery, located in the heart of the Speyside region in Scotland, this whisky is the result of meticulous double maturation in American oak barrels and ex-sherry casks.
The color of this spirit is an inviting antique gold, which preludes to a rich and complex olfactory experience. On the nose, accents of ripe fruit, notes of sweet spices, and a slight touch of chocolate are revealed. Added to this are nuances of dried fruit and a delicate vein of honey, making the bouquet surprisingly harmonious.
On the palate, Aberlour 16 Years Whisky offers a soft yet intense structure. The notes of fruit and spices perceived on the nose are confirmed, accompanied by a rich malt flavor and a hint of nutmeg.
