Discover the story, territory and wines of Cordero di Montezemolo.
A historic winery in the Langhe based in the hamlet of Annunziata (La Morra, CN), known for its Barolos (Monfalletto, Gattera, Enrico VI) and for a range that includes Nebbiolo, Barbera, Dolcetto, Arneis and an Alta Langa sparkling wine.
The Monfalletto estate has documented roots dating back to the 14th century and is linked to the Falletti family; sources trace the estate’s origins to 1340. In the 20th century the property passed into the sphere of the Cordero di Montezemolo family through family ties, and today the estate is managed by the Cordero di Montezemolo family. The winery maintains a commitment to local appellations and has retained a strong connection with the Annunziata and Monfalletto vineyards.
Production philosophy
Production focused on expressing the terroir of the Langhe: separate vinifications and ageing for each vineyard plot, selection of grapes for specific crus, and showcasing indigenous varieties alongside Metodo Classico labels for the sparkling wines.
Terroir and vineyards
The main vineyards are located in the territory of La Morra and in historic crus such as Monfalletto, Gattera and the Enrico VI vineyard. The area is characterized by the hills of the Langhe, variable soils and microclimates favorable to high-quality Nebbiolo.
