Winery history Le Ragnaie

The estate was relaunched in the early 2000s by Riccardo Campinoti, who renovated the vineyards, winery and farmhouse accommodation and expanded the vineyard holdings in Montalcino. Over time the estate has developed several cru from parcels located across the appellation’s various hillside subzones.

Production philosophy

Production focused on Sangiovese, with organic farming practices, manual selection of grapes and gentle yet attentive winemaking, aimed at expressing the character of each vineyard while maintaining freshness and elegance.

Terroir and vineyards

The estate is located in Montalcino and includes vineyards situated in at least three microzones of the appellation, with elevations reaching up to about 600 meters. Soils vary between sandstone, limestone, clay and gravel depending on the parcel.
