Winery history Cantina Paltrinieri

The Paltrinieri family has been producing Lambrusco in Sorbara for generations: the original enterprise dates back to 1926 and, since 1998, has been run directly by Alberto Paltrinieri together with his wife Barbara. Over time the estate has developed its vineyards and cellar while maintaining a strong connection to the local Sorbara tradition.

Production philosophy

The estate favors an approach that highlights the territory and the vintage’s natural characteristics: carefully calibrated vineyard interventions, respect for the seasons, and winemaking designed to emphasize the acidity, floral character and minerality typical of Lambrusco di Sorbara. In the cellar, techniques range from natural refermentation to sparkling methods to express the grape’s different facets.

Terroir and vineyards

The vineyards are located in the hamlet of Sorbara, in the narrow strip of land between the Secchia and Panaro rivers. The soils are generally loose, with silty‑sandy components typical of the area.
