Le Sabbie dell'Etna DOC by Firriato represents a red wine that embodies the spirit and uniqueness of the volcanic terroir of Etna, one of the most fascinating and discussed wine-growing regions in Italy.
Produced mainly from the indigenous grape varieties Nerello Mascalese and Nerello Cappuccio, this label stands out for its distinctive aromatic profile and elegant structure. The Nerello Mascalese imparts the wine with notable aromatic complexity and robust tannic structure, while the Nerello Cappuccio adds delicate floral touches and a softness that perfectly balances the more austere aspects of the Mascalese.
The color of this masterpiece is a deep ruby red with garnet reflections, typical of wines that undergo wood aging, a process that Le Sabbie dell'Etna follows for about 6-8 months in oak barrels, followed by additional months in the bottle before commercial release.
