The Rosso di Rossi Bayamore by Firriato is a wine that celebrates the richness and diversity of the Sicilian terroir, offering an authentic expression of local viticulture. This red wine is known for its robust character and aromatic depth, magnificently capturing the essence of native grapes.

On the nose, the Rosso di Rossi Bayamore exudes a captivating bouquet of ripe red fruits, such as cherries and plums, mixed with hints of spices like black pepper and a touch of vanilla, derived from aging in barriques. These olfactory components are further enriched by a light aroma of dark chocolate and tobacco, adding complexity to the aromatic profile.

On the palate, the wine is full and enveloping, with a well-balanced tannic structure that supports the intensity of the fruit. The acidity is lively, bringing freshness to the palate and perfectly balancing the natural sweetness of the grapes. The finish is long and persistent, with a pleasant aftertaste of ripe fruit and spices.

The Rosso di Rossi Bayamore pairs beautifully with rustic Sicilian cuisine, such as pasta alla norma or meat roasts. Its versatility also makes it an excellent companion for aged cheeses and mushroom-based dishes.

Perfect for those who love characterful Sicilian wines, the Rosso di Rossi Bayamore by Firriato is an excellent choice to enrich any enthusiast’s collection. Each sip is a sensory journey through the traditions and flavors of the island of Sicily.

Winery history
Founded as a family project by Salvatore Di Gaetano in the 1980s, Firriato has grown by expanding its presence across multiple estates in Sicily and bringing the island’s wines to international markets. The family has remained actively involved in technical supervision and brand development, over time establishing estates dedicated to production, ampelographic research and hospitality.
Production philosophy
The winery pursues an approach focused on respect for the land: careful selection of soils, promotion of local grape varieties and sustainability-focused agricultural management. Firriato declares the conversion of its vineyards to organic farming and has undertaken initiatives to offset and reduce the company's climate footprint.
Terroir and vineyards
The company's holdings are distributed across several estates that represent different terroirs: the hills of the Agro Trapanese, the slopes of Mount Etna and the maritime viticulture of the island of Favignana. The individual estates mentioned in the sources include Baglio Sorìa, Borgo Guarini, Dàgala Borromeo, Pianoro Cuddìa, Giudeo, Cavanera Etnea and Tenuta di Calamoni in Favignana.
