Hailing from the renowned Firriato vineyards in Sicily, the Spumante Brut Blanc de Blancs Gaudensius captures the essence of the island's unique land and climate. This sparkling wine is the result of a meticulous selection of Chardonnay grapes, giving the final product exceptional quality and finesse.

With a pale gold color and bright reflections, the Gaudensius sparkling wine features a fine and persistent perlage, foreshadowing its aromatic and gustatory qualities. On the nose, it stands out for its intense citrus aromas, floral notes, and a light touch of bread crust, derived from the elegant bottle fermentation process according to the classic method.

On the palate, the freshness of citrus harmoniously blends with a pronounced minerality, typical of the volcanic soils of the cultivation area. The structure is balanced, offering a pleasant complexity that concludes in a long and clean finish.

This sparkling wine is ideal as an aperitif, but it also pairs magnificently with light appetizers, fish dishes, or seafood. Its freshness and liveliness make it perfect for accompanying festive moments or special celebrations.

The Firriato winery is renowned for its commitment to sustainable viticulture and the production of high-quality wines, maintaining a deep connection with the Sicilian territory. The Spumante Brut Blanc de Blancs Gaudensius is an exemplary product that proudly represents this connection, offering a tasting experience that is both a tribute to tradition and a fresh expression of the territory.

Winery history
Founded as a family project by Salvatore Di Gaetano in the 1980s, Firriato has grown by expanding its presence across multiple estates in Sicily and bringing the island’s wines to international markets. The family has remained actively involved in technical supervision and brand development, over time establishing estates dedicated to production, ampelographic research and hospitality.
Production philosophy
The winery pursues an approach focused on respect for the land: careful selection of soils, promotion of local grape varieties and sustainability-focused agricultural management. Firriato declares the conversion of its vineyards to organic farming and has undertaken initiatives to offset and reduce the company's climate footprint.
Terroir and vineyards
The company's holdings are distributed across several estates that represent different terroirs: the hills of the Agro Trapanese, the slopes of Mount Etna and the maritime viticulture of the island of Favignana. The individual estates mentioned in the sources include Baglio Sorìa, Borgo Guarini, Dàgala Borromeo, Pianoro Cuddìa, Giudeo, Cavanera Etnea and Tenuta di Calamoni in Favignana.
