The Gewurztraminer from Valle Isarco is one of the most fascinating examples of how a specific terroir can decisively influence a wine's profile. This aromatic white wine is produced in the upper course of Valle Isarco, in the Trentino-Alto Adige region, known for its cool climate and mineral soils that give the wine unique and distinctive characteristics.

The Gewurztraminer Valle Isarco presents itself with an intense golden-yellow color, often accompanied by bright reflections that herald its aromatic richness. On the nose, it stands out for its intense and complex aromas of roses, lychees, oriental spices, and notes of honey and exotic fruit. This olfactory complexity is also found on the palate, where the aromatic richness is balanced with surprising freshness, offering a pleasant taste persistence and a structure that can support several years of aging.

The production of this Gewurztraminer follows careful and environmentally respectful methods, with a manual harvest that ensures the selection of the best grapes. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures to preserve the varietal aromas of the grape.

This wine is ideal as an aperitif but can be successfully paired with spicy Asian cuisine, seafood, and blue cheeses. Its distinctive character also makes it perfect as a meditation wine.

The Gewurztraminer Valle Isarco is, therefore, an excellent choice for lovers of aromatic wines who seek a unique and enveloping sensory journey in a glass.

Winery history
The Isarco Valley has an ancient winemaking tradition. Cantina Valle Isarco was founded in 1961 by a group of local winegrowers. Over time its production facilities have been renewed and it expanded its public services with a modern wine shop. In 2021 the winery celebrated its 60th anniversary and refreshed its image and labels.
Production philosophy
Highlighting the distinctive qualities of the mountain terroir through collaboration among small winegrowers: the winery operates as a cooperative to preserve its connection with the local landscape and to focus on grape quality, with particular attention to the white varieties typical of the Isarco Valley.
Terroir and vineyards
The production area is the Valle Isarco, characterized by gravelly, well-ventilated terrain, relatively dry climates and pronounced diurnal temperature variations. The vineyards are planted on steep slopes and terraces at varying elevations and include cru such as the areas around the Monastero di Sabiona.
Awards and recognitions
The winery and several labels from the premium lines have received national and international recognition: medals at the Decanter World Wine Awards, high scores from James Suckling and Falstaff, accolades from Bibenda and VITAE/AIS, and mentions in specialist guides and competitions.
