Piera1899 is a solid name and one of the reference wineries in the North East of Italy; always devoted to one goal: to obtain the best possible quality in wines characterized by pleasantness and pairing, able to compete with the greatest winemaking traditions in the world.

Pietra di Traminer comes from the vinification of grapes subjected to soft pressing and cold decanting of the must. This is followed by fermentation and rest on the fine deposit for six months at a controlled temperature, in order to obtain a better aromatic composition.

In the chalice he conquers with his bright straw yellow color with golden hues. Intoxicating on the nose with a rich and seductive bouquet of dried rose hips, yellow tropical fruit and honey. On the palate it has an important and at the same time aromatic and elegant structure, characterized by a marked sapidity and vivacity given by the spicy notes.

A very versatile white, excellent as an aperitif or as an accompaniment to rice and shellfish salads, fish soups, shrimps and lobsters.

Winery history
The company’s history dates back to the late 19th century, with the first generation of the Martellozzo family active in 1899 in the province of Padua. In the 1990s Piera, of the third generation, took the helm of the business, began re-evaluating indigenous grape varieties and launched its first organic line. In the early 2000s the headquarters were consolidated in San Quirino, in the Friuli Grave area, serving as the starting point for expansion into national and international markets.
Production philosophy
The estate combines respect for the land with an innovative approach: careful selection of well‑suited vineyard parcels, the production of wines that reflect the local territory, and a focus on sustainable practices through measures such as photovoltaic systems, lightweight packaging, water reuse and careful selection of label materials.
Terroir and vineyards
Primarily operating in Friuli-Venezia Giulia, with ties to the Triveneto region; the wines are an expression of gravelly soils and a microclimate tempered by the Adriatic and sheltered by the mountains to the north.
