The Barolo DOCG "Arborina" from Bovio Winery stands out for its robust character and complex structure, a true expression of the Piedmontese terroir from which it comes. This Barolo comes from the renowned Arborina area, known for the high quality of the Nebbiolo grapes that reach their fullest expression here.

To the eye, it presents with an intense garnet red color, typical of high-quality Barolos. On the nose, complex notes of ripe red fruits immediately emerge, intertwined with hints of violet, tobacco, and subtle traces of dark chocolate, deriving from careful aging in oak barrels.

On the palate, the Barolo Arborina reveals a full and enveloping body, with a well-balanced tannic texture that promises excellent aging potential. The tannins, robust yet elegant, are well integrated with fresh acidity, leading to a persistent and aromatically rich finish, where echoes of spices and leather are rediscovered.

Ideal to accompany dishes of red meat, game and mature cheeses, this Barolo is a specimen that cannot be missing in a collector's cellar or on the table for a special occasion. It is recommended to decant for at least one hour before serving to enhance all its nuances.

A wine that celebrates the Piedmontese winemaking tradition with mastery and passion, the Barolo DOCG "Arborina" by Bovio is a true tribute to the power and elegance of Nebbiolo in one of its most authentic and respected interpretations.

Winery history
The Bovio family has been in La Morra for generations. In the 1950s and 1960s Alessandro Bovio farmed grapes on a small scale. In the 1970s Gianfranco renovated the winery, and in the following years the estate began selling Nebbiolo and Barolo. Since then the estate has expanded and modernized the winery, and management has gradually passed to the next generations.
Production philosophy
The winemaking approach is founded on respect for tradition and the land: each vineyard is vinified separately to express the characteristics of the individual cru, with artisanal care in the vineyard and cellar and aging in large casks where appropriate. Attention is focused on patience, precise management of the parcels and fidelity to the character of the Langhe.
Terroir and vineyards
Vineyards located in La Morra and partly in Castiglione Falletto, with estate crus designated as Annunziata, Rocchettevino, Parussi, Gattera and Arborina. The estate reports approximately ten hectares of vineyards distributed across the principal MGAs of the Langhe, with vinifications carried out separately by parcel.
Awards and recognitions
Bovio's wines have received high ratings from international critics: in particular, their Barolo expressions have earned high scores from James Suckling, Robert Parker and Wine Spectator across several vintages.
