Barolo DOCG Monvigliero - Poderi Luigi Einaudi is one of the most refined and appreciated expressions of Barolo, produced by the historic Poderi Luigi Einaudi winery. Founded in 1897 by Luigi Einaudi, who would become the first President of the Italian Republic, this winery is located in the Langhe, the beating heart of Barolo production, and has always had as its objective the production of very high quality wines that reflect the terroir and the tradition of Piedmont.

The "Monvigliero" cru is located in the municipality of Verduno, one of the most particular and prestigious areas for the production of Barolo, known for its calcareous soils which give the wines elegance, intense aromas and a fine tannic structure. This specific location gives Barolo Monvigliero unique characteristics, making it emerge as one of the most distinctive and sought after in the area.

Visually, Barolo Monvigliero has a garnet red color typical of Nebbiolo, with reflections that tend towards orange with aging. On the nose, it opens with a complex and intensely aromatic bouquet, characterized by notes of cherry, dog rose, dandelion, accompanied by nuances of spices, tobacco and a light mineral vein, which reflects the expression of the Verduno terroir.

In the mouth, the wine offers a solid but incredibly balanced structure, with silky tannins and well-integrated acidity that contributes to a harmonious tasting experience. The red fruit flavors blend with balsamic and spicy notes, evolving towards a long and persistent finish, which leaves a sensation of elegance and complexity.

Ideal to accompany rich and tasty dishes, such as red meats, game, truffle-based dishes and mature cheeses, the Barolo DOCG Monvigliero by Poderi Luigi Einaudi is also a perfect wine for moments of meditation, capable of expressing its complexity and evolving beautifully over time.
