Winery history
Le Macchiole was founded in the early 1980s in Bolgheri when Eugenio Campolmi and Cinzia Merli purchased vineyards on Via Bolgherese; over the years the estate has become a reference point in the area, standing out with landmark labels such as Paleo Rosso and later single-varietal wines like Messorio and Scrio. Terroir and vineyards
Located in Bolgheri, on the Etruscan Coast in Tuscany, the winery manages vineyards exposed to a maritime climate with very varied soils.
