Gian Carlo Burlotto’s Barolo DOCG Monvigliero comes from Verduno, on the town’s highest hill, and is made from Nebbiolo grapes. This distinctive red wine matures in wood for 36 months and continues to develop in the bottle, where it gradually reveals its finest qualities. In the glass, it shows a garnet-red colour with orange reflections.
The bouquet is characteristic, ethereal, pleasant and intense. On the palate, it is dry, full-bodied, robust and harmonious, with a structure suited to extended ageing. The stated minimum alcohol content is 13.5%. Serve at 18-20 °C to enhance its balance and complexity. It pairs well with substantial meat dishes and mature cheeses with a pronounced flavour. An expressive Barolo, closely connected to the Monvigliero cru and to the winemaking identity of Verduno.
