In the glass the Bussia Barolo DOCG 2022 from Poderi Luigi Einaudi presents a savory and elegant profile. On the nose there are aromas of withered rose, red cherry and light earthy notes that evolve toward hints of spice and sweet tobacco; overall it leaves a fragrant rather than sharp impression. The palate is supported by vibrant freshness and tannins that are present but well integrated, outlining texture and structure without losing momentum; the balance between acidity and body provides linearity and a pleasant persistence.

It presents as a young but focused Barolo, offering immediate pleasure while also showing potential for aging. Recommended with braised meats, game dishes and aged cheeses, it also stands up well to mushroom-based preparations and rich sauces; it is preferable to open and let it breathe before serving, at a serving temperature that is not too high to preserve its finesse and freshness. A wine of character, suited to those seeking elegance and structure without excess.
