The Cabernet Franc from Tenuta Luisa is a red wine that expresses the distinctive character of this grape variety with elegance and complexity. Produced in the fertile lands of Friuli-Venezia Giulia, this wine is the result of meticulous vineyard care and vinification that respects tradition.

Deep ruby-red in color with violet reflections, Tenuta Luisa's Cabernet Franc displays an intensely varied aromatic bouquet. On the nose, notes of ripe forest fruits such as blackberries and currants emerge, enriched by vegetal nuances typical of Cabernet Franc, such as green bell pepper and a slight grassy trace. This is embellished by spicy accents and a subtle hint of vanilla, a legacy of balanced aging in wood.

On the palate, it shows a medium structure and balanced persistence. The entry is soft, evolving into a pleasant acidic freshness that consolidates its agility. Well-integrated tannins support a finish where the fruits and spices initially perceived on the nose reappear.

Perfect to pair with dishes based on red meats, game, or aged cheeses, Tenuta Luisa's Cabernet Franc stands out for its ability to combine aromatic intensity and drinkability. This wine is optimal for tasting even at a young age but also has good aging potential.

Ideal for those who love wines with a strong territorial and varietal identity, Tenuta Luisa's Cabernet Franc is a sure choice of interest for enthusiasts looking for a red that speaks authentically and charmingly of its soil.

Winery history
A family history that began with the purchase of the first plots by Francesco Luisa in the early 20th century. The estate has grown over several generations with documented milestones: expansion of the vineyards, construction of a new winery in the 1990s, and the launch of premium lines such as "I Ferretti" and "Millésimée". The estate's website records the first purchase of 5 hectares in 1907 and progressive growth to more than 100 hectares today.
Production philosophy
Vineyard-to-glass approach: quality that originates in the vineyard through low yields, high planting density and targeted treatments. In the winery, intervention is limited and aging is carefully managed for the selections. The winery also declares a commitment to environmental sustainability, with practices that have received recognitions and certifications as noted in the sources.
Terroir and vineyards
Vineyards located on the plain between Collio and Carso, within the DOC Friuli Isonzo. Soils consist of mixed gravel and decalcified limestone with clayey sections. Approximate elevation 35–50 m above sea level. The climate is influenced by the Bora and Scirocco, with diurnal temperature variations that favour aromatic ripening.
Awards and recognitions
Numerous national and international recognitions: among the highlighted awards are Tre Bicchieri for certain vintages of the "I Ferretti" selection, medals at international competitions, and various scores from guides and critics.
