Of immediate appeal, this Pitars Cabernet Sauvignon Friuli DOC shows a clear, measured profile: a compact ruby colour and an aromatic range that favors ripe red fruits accompanied by light herbal hints and a well-controlled touch of spice. The sip is clean, of good breadth, with a tannic structure that is present but not intrusive; the acidity supports the palate and provides freshness, while the body remains balanced, allowing a pleasant persistence without weighing it down.

On the plate it fits naturally alongside grilled red meats, braises that are not overly structured, and hard or semi-aged cheeses; it is also well suited to informal tasting moments thanks to its drinkability. I recommend serving it at a cool cellar temperature to appreciate its liveliness and, if desired, letting it breathe for about fifteen minutes to soften the tannins and bring out the aromatic nuances. A Cabernet that aims for elegance rather than opulence.
