The Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo DOC produced by La Valentina is a wine of great character and freshness. Located in the Abruzzo region, a land rich in winemaking traditions, La Valentina stands out for producing wines that reflect the authenticity and quality of the territory through careful vineyard management and the use of sustainable practices.

Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo is a type of rosé wine characterized by its lively color, a cherry red that inspires the name "Cerasuolo," and an aromatic and taste profile that perfectly balances fruitiness and freshness. La Valentina produces its Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo DOC from grapes grown in the Abruzzo hills, where the climate and soil contribute to giving the wine a rich varietal expression.

The winemaking of La Valentina's Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo involves a short maceration of the grapes, followed by fermentation at a controlled temperature to preserve the freshness and intensity of the fruity aromas.

Visually, the wine presents an intriguing bright cherry red color. On the nose, it expresses a lively and inviting aromatic bouquet, with notes of fresh red fruits such as cherries, strawberries, and a hint of pomegranate, enriched by floral nuances and a light spiciness. These aromas intertwine to create a complex and pleasantly accessible olfactory profile.

On the palate, La Valentina's Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo reveals a light but well-balanced structure, with a lively acidity that provides freshness and drinkability. The flavors of red fruit combine with a delicate minerality, typical of Abruzzo soils, leading to a clean and persistent finish that invites another sip.

Ideal as an aperitif or paired with light appetizers, fish dishes, white meats, and fresh cheeses, La Valentina's Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo DOC is a wine that joyfully celebrates the winemaking identity of Abruzzo.

Winery history
La Valentina was founded in 1990 in the hills near Pescara; since 1994 the estate has been run by the brothers Sabatino, Roberto and Andrea Di Properzio. Over the years the estate has worked to enhance the local terroirs and improve quality with an approach increasingly attentive to the vineyard's biological balance.
Production philosophy
The company states an approach that prioritizes respect for the terroir, the reduction of chemical interventions and environmental sustainability; the goal is to produce wines that are "healthier and more authentic" by intervening as little as possible in natural processes and adopting responsible agricultural and business practices.
Terroir and vineyards
The vineyards are located in the hills of the lower Pescara Valley, within the municipality of Spoltore and neighboring municipalities in the Province of Pescara. The microclimate, influenced by proximity to the sea and the Apennines, contributes to the character of the wines produced.
