The Pitars Chardonnay Friuli DOC presents a clean, measured profile, where white-fleshed fruit and a subtle citrus note coexist with a sense of freshness and savory minerality. The palate is balanced: good structure without heaviness, lively acidity that supports the sip and a softness that enriches the mid-palate. It doesn't seek extremes but offers precision and consistency, with a pleasant persistence that invites a second glass. The progression is linear and the finish recalls ripe apple and a subtle almond.

It is best served slightly chilled and is versatile at the table: it works well with seafood starters, shellfish, fish dishes in light sauces, and fresh cheeses, but also holds up to more complex vegetable-based preparations or white meats. It's an honest, well-balanced white, suitable for both informal dinners and more refined dishes; it is advisable to open it shortly before serving to allow it to open up in the glass. Also excellent for aperitifs and summer lunches, when you're looking for a savory but unobtrusive white.
