The Chianti Classico DOCG Riserva from Marchesi Antinori, presented here in the Jeroboam format and packaged in a Villa Antinori wooden case, offers a rich and measured profile. On the nose it reveals an aromatic weave of ripe red and dark fruits, spicy notes and light floral touches; the olfactory picture is supported by a present but well-integrated tannic structure that provides balance. On the palate it shows concentration and depth, with fruity returns and a pleasant persistence that calls for careful service.

It pairs well with savory meat dishes, baked preparations and medium-aged cheeses; the Jeroboam format and wooden case make it ideal for convivial occasions and as a collectors' item or gift. To fully appreciate its characteristics, it is recommended to serve it at a moderate temperature and, if possible, to decant it briefly before tasting. Storing it in a cool, stable place preserves its qualities.

Winery history
The estate’s winemaking origins are linked to the noble Della Gherardesca family (vineyards since the late 17th century). The property entered the Antinori holdings in the 1930s; the estate’s modern winemaking development took place from the late 1980s–1990s. First documented vintage of Vermentino at the estate: 1996.
Production philosophy
To express the Bolgheri terroir through parcel selection, experimentation in the vineyard and cellar, and practices focused on quality and respect for the territory.
Terroir and vineyards
Located in the Bolgheri DOC (Upper Maremma) on a plain encircled by gentle hills known as the “Bolgheri Amphitheatre.” Climate is moderated by sea breezes; alluvial soils range from sandy-clay to silty-clay with fine gravel (Bolgheri agglomerate), influencing the character of varieties grown (Cabernet, Merlot, Vermentino, etc.).
