This Chianti Classico DOCG Riserva from Marchesi Antinori, produced in the Villa Antinori range, presents itself with elegance and restraint and a deep ruby color. On the nose there are ripe red fruits, hints of sweet spices and light floral notes that intertwine with earthy nuances; the aromatic profile remains sober and harmonious. On the palate it shows a well-defined structure, smooth tannins and balanced acidity that support the progression, with a pleasant persistence without excess. The flavor texture offers some depth without weighing down, with fruity returns on the finish that invite another sip.

It is a wine suited to traditional Italian dishes: grilled meats, flavorful ragùs and aged cheeses, but it also pairs well with mushroom dishes and preparations of light game. To highlight its aromatic profile, a large glass and a moderate serving temperature are recommended; a short decantation can help open the aromas. It can be enjoyed young or left to evolve in the cellar for those who wish to follow its development. Suitable for convivial occasions and for refined yet informal meals.

Terroir and vineyards
Located in the Bolgheri DOC (Upper Maremma) on a plain encircled by gentle hills known as the “Bolgheri Amphitheatre.” Climate is moderated by sea breezes; alluvial soils range from sandy-clay to silty-clay with fine gravel (Bolgheri agglomerate), influencing the character of varieties grown (Cabernet, Merlot, Vermentino, etc.).
