The Côtes du Rhône Villages Métamorphose from Cave de Cairanne offers a deep and rewarding sensory experience. Originating from the renowned Rhône Valley region in France, this red wine is predominantly composed of Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvèdre grapes, which together create a perfect harmony of flavors.

Intensely ruby in hue, the Metamorphose opens with an aromatic bouquet rich in notes of ripe red fruits, spices, and a subtle hint of vanilla, stemming from its aging in French oak barrels. On the palate, the complexity unfolds with flavors of blackberry, raspberry, and black pepper, accompanied by a well-balanced tannic structure that promises excellent aging potential.

Perfect for pairing with hearty dishes such as roast beef, game, or aged cheeses, the Métamorphose is a wine distinguished by its elegance and complexity, making it a valuable addition to any wine collection. Powerful and persistent, its long and pleasantly spiced finish leaves a lasting impression that invites another sip. A true delight for lovers of structured and aromatic red wines.

Winery history
Founded as a cooperative in 1929, the Cave de Cairanne developed as a collective of local winegrowers. Today it brings together numerous members who work the vineyards in Cairanne and the surrounding area. The brand name Camille Cayran identifies the range of wines produced by the cooperative and reflects the collaborative work between the winegrowers and a central technical team.
Production philosophy
Careful vineyard work and respect for local heritage: soil care, rigorous grape selection and precise winemaking. The winery declares a combination of respect for traditional practices and openness to innovation, producing both conventional and organic wines and some cuvées with no added sulfites.
Terroir and vineyards
The vineyard is located in the heart of the crus of the southern Rhône Valley. The terrain is varied: alluvial terraces, garrigue and a hilly massif with limestone-clay soils, marls and pebbles. The Mediterranean climate, the strong Mistral wind and the pronounced day–night temperature variation characterize grape ripening. The location is close to appellations such as Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Gigondas and Vacqueyras.
Awards and recognitions
The winery has received numerous awards and medals in international guides and competitions; among these is being named "Cave Coopérative de l’Année 2024" by Revue des Vins, along with mentions and medals from Decanter, Mundus Vini and the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles, and citations in Guide Hachette.
