The Crémant d'Alsace Blanc de Noirs from Maison Klipfel is born in the heart of the renowned Alsace region, known for its unique terroirs dedicated to producing sparkling wines of great finesse. This wine stands out as a Blanc de Noirs, made exclusively from red grape varieties, particularly Pinot Noir, which gives structure and elegance to the final product.

The traditional method of bottle refermentation ensures a pleasant fine and persistent effervescence, accompanied by a delicate and refined aromatic complexity. On the nose, fresh red fruit scents emerge, such as wild strawberries and cherries, enriched by light notes of yeast and bread crust due to aging on the lees.

The palate is fresh, balanced, and smooth, with a beautiful sapidity that invites another sip. Perfect to pair with seafood appetizers, crustaceans, or soft cheeses, it represents an excellent expression of Alsatian sparkling elegance.

Winery history
Founded by the Klipfel family, the Maison has records dating back to the 19th century and over the decades developed both its vineyard cultivation and a commercial business. Over the years the estate acquired the renowned Clos Zisser and, from the 20th century onward, became known for producing late-harvest wines and selections of noble grapes. During the 20th century André Lorentz gave the Maison new commercial momentum; more recently management passed to a family of winegrowers.
Production philosophy
An approach focused on maximizing the value of individual Alsatian terroirs: showcasing Grand Cru sites and typical grape varieties through winemaking practices that respect each site's identity, with a production that includes both still wines and Crémant, and some oak ageing for Pinot Noir.
Terroir and vineyards
The winery is based in Barr, in Alsace. It cultivates and produces wine from recognized crus such as the Kirchberg de Barr, the Kastelberg and the Wiebelsberg; the famous Clos Zisser is part of the Maison’s heritage. The soils described include marls and limestones on the Kirchberg and schists on the Kastelberg, with favourable exposures that shape the wines’ minerality.
