It benefits from being opened in advance or decanted to free its aromas, especially when paired with assertive dishes: braises, red meats, game and aged cheeses make natural companions. It is ideal for important dinners but also reveals charm when enjoyed on its own; with a short decant of about an hour it opens up and releases more complex nuances. Serving temperature around 16–18 °C and large glasses allow you to appreciate its complexity and the rhythm of its flavors, letting the finer notes and its interesting potential for further evolution emerge gradually.
