The Etna DOC Rosso - Contrada Feudo di Mezzo by Cottanera represents an expression of great finesse and depth of the volcanic terroir of Etna, highlighting the unique qualities of the native Nerello Mascalese and Nerello Cappuccio vines. The Feudo di Mezzo district, located in the heart of the Etna wine area, is known for its soil rich in volcanic minerals, which gives the wines a distinctive minerality and aromatic complexity.

In this specific district, the pedoclimatic conditions, together with the high altitude of the vineyards, favor a slow and uniform maturation of the grapes, allowing a full expression of the aromatic profiles and tannic structure of the vines. Cottanera, a company that has always placed a strong emphasis on quality and authenticity, cultivates these vines with methods that respect the environment and the territory, resulting in wines that are a true reflection of their terroir.

Etna DOC Rosso - Contrada Feudo di Mezzo has a light ruby red color, typical of wines produced with Nerello Mascalese and Nerello Cappuccio. These vines, often compared to Pinot Noir for their elegance and complexity, offer the nose a sophisticated bouquet of ripe red fruits, floral notes, spices, balsamic accents and a marked volcanic minerality.

On the palate, the wine shows a medium structure, with silky tannins and a well-balanced acidity that contributes to the overall freshness of the wine. The aromatic complexity is expressed with elegance, with flavors that reflect the olfactory notes and are enriched with earthy and mineral nuances in the long and persistent finish.

This wine is particularly suitable for accompanying red meat dishes, game, mushrooms and mature cheeses. Its elegance and structure also make it suitable for special occasions or to be enjoyed alone, as a moment of pure tasting.
