Tenuta Santa Lucia is a Romagna farm located in the province of Forlì-Cesena, in Mercato Saraceno. The estate has always placed the cultivation of native vines that do not damage the territory in first place. The Famoso vine is one of the least known native vine varieties of Romagna. In fact, it was abandoned for several years, but it has recently been rediscovered, as it also resists the harsh winter temperatures. Tenuta Santa Lucia harvests the white berries of this vine manually in September. The grapes are carefully selected, with particular attention to sun exposure and the integrity of the bunches. The whole bunch is then pressed and a short cold static decantation is carried out. The fermentation takes place spontaneously with indigenous yeasts, while the refinement takes place for 8 months on the lees and for 12 in the bottle.

The Famoso is a wine with a delicate light yellow color and an intense aroma reminiscent of exotic fruit, citrus fruits and yellow flowers. In the mouth it is fresh and soft.

The aromaticity of this wine makes it perfect to accompany fish-based dishes and cheeses.

Terroir and vineyards
