The Franciacorta Satèn DOCG by Bosio, presented here in an elegant Magnum format, represents one of the most refined expressions of the Franciacorta wine region. Prepared exclusively with Chardonnay grapes, this wine is renowned for its characteristic smoothness and a finesse of bubbles that enchant from the first sip.

The winemaking follows the traditional method strictly, with a long fermentation in the bottle that allows it to develop complexity and unmistakable aromas. The result is a wine of a light straw-yellow color, with golden reflections that anticipate an intensely fruity aromatic bouquet. Notes of white peach, citrus, and nuances of yeast blend with delicate touches of almond.

On the palate, the Franciacorta Satèn by Bosio offers a silky and enveloping texture, balanced by a fresh acidity that supports the impeccable structure. Its very fine bubbles, typical of the Satèn style, make each tasting a moment of pure pleasure.

With a moderate alcohol content, this Franciacorta Satèn is perfectly suited as an aperitif, but is equally excellent paired with light starters, fish-based dishes, or white meats. We recommend serving it chilled, between 6-8°C, to appreciate every nuance.

The presentation in a Magnum bottle not only further enhances the elegance of the wine, but also makes it ideal for special occasions, ensuring better evolution of the wine over time. In every sip of Franciacorta Satèn DOCG Magnum by Bosio, one discovers a masterpiece of balance and refinement, celebrating the living art of Italian viticulture and sparkling wine production.

Azienda Agricola Bovio Gianfranco – Winery in Piemonte (Langhe, La Morra / Castiglione Falletto)

Discover the story and wines of Azienda Agricola Bovio Gianfranco.

Family-run winery in La Morra (Piedmont) producing Barolo and other typical wines of the Langhe, showcasing the estate’s individual crus through parcel-by-parcel vinification and traditional methods.
Region: Piemonte (Langhe, La Morra / Castiglione Falletto)
Country: Italia
Founded: 1976
Grapes: Nebbiolo, Barbera, Dolcetto, Chardonnay
Family-owned winery operating for multiple generations. Vineyards distributed across the historic crus of La Morra and Castiglione Falletto. Portfolio featuring various Barolo labels as well as Nebbiolo Langhe, Barbera and Dolcetto. Emphasis on parcel-based vinification and traditional methods. Renovated tasting room and wine shop open to the public.
Winery history
The Bovio family has been in La Morra for generations. In the 1950s and 1960s Alessandro Bovio farmed grapes on a small scale. In the 1970s Gianfranco renovated the winery, and in the following years the estate began selling Nebbiolo and Barolo. Since then the estate has expanded and modernized the winery, and management has gradually passed to the next generations.
Production philosophy
The winemaking approach is founded on respect for tradition and the land: each vineyard is vinified separately to express the characteristics of the individual cru, with artisanal care in the vineyard and cellar and aging in large casks where appropriate. Attention is focused on patience, precise management of the parcels and fidelity to the character of the Langhe.
Terroir and vineyards
Vineyards located in La Morra and partly in Castiglione Falletto, with estate crus designated as Annunziata, Rocchettevino, Parussi, Gattera and Arborina. The estate reports approximately ten hectares of vineyards distributed across the principal MGAs of the Langhe, with vinifications carried out separately by parcel.
Awards and recognitions
Bovio's wines have received high ratings from international critics: in particular, their Barolo expressions have earned high scores from James Suckling, Robert Parker and Wine Spectator across several vintages.
