Mazzetti's Barbera Grappa presents itself with a direct, sincere character: on the nose there are notes of ripe red fruit and winey references well integrated with a refined floral profile. The palate is calm yet decisive, with a roundness that softens the alcoholic warmth and leaves room for a pleasant gustatory clarity; the persistence stays on fruity tones and light spices, maintaining an overall balance that invites a second taste without being intrusive. Excellent as a digestif to be sipped slowly, it pairs naturally with dark chocolate, fruit-based desserts and aged cheeses, or can elegantly conclude an informal dinner.

The boxed packaging also makes it a practical, well-presented gift; I would recommend serving it cool but not icy, in glasses that allow one to appreciate both its aromas and its softness on the palate.

Historic Piedmontese company based in Altavilla Monferrato (AL), active in the production of grappa, eaux-de-vie, brandy and a wide range of liqueurs, amari (Italian bitter liqueurs) and modern spirits (gin, whisky). Founded in the 19th century, it combines the tradition of pomace distillation with experimentation in maturation in special casks.
