Aged in wood, the Grappa di Moscato Barricata offers an aromatic profile that recalls the richness of Moscato without sacrificing finesse: floral aromas and notes of white fruit blend with warm hints of vanilla, honey and a subtle weave of sweet spices derived from the ageing. The 150 cl magnum format makes it practical for convivial occasions, and the bottle conveys a character that leans more toward softness and complexity than brute strength. In Mazzetti’s Storie di Vitigno line it clearly expresses the balance between varietal fragrance and the influence of the wood.

On the palate it is enveloping and well balanced: round, warm sensations are supported by a clean structure, with good persistence that leaves fruity and toasted memories. The alcohol is present but integrated, giving warmth without being intrusive; the drink is pleasant and smooth. Excellent as a digestif after a substantial meal, it pairs ideally with dark chocolate, dry pastries or hard cheeses. It is best appreciated in a tulip glass, sipped slowly to follow the evolution of the aromas.
