The 2004 vintage from Sasu Un Petit Grain arrives in a wooden case that immediately signals care and intention: the vintage preserves the character of the year and presents a refined, compact aromatic profile. On the nose you can detect notes of cooked fruit and dried fruit, a light citrus peel and hints of vanilla and sweet spices, without overloading; the result is a balance of intensity and finesse, with a warm but not heavy texture that suggests a measured, focused sip.

On the palate the sip is soft and enveloping, with a pleasant sapidity that balances the residual sweetness and reveals returns of plum, figs and a touch of cocoa. The structure is rounded, the persistence significant, with a finish that brings back light spices and a pleasant dry note. It lends itself to a meditative tasting, served at room temperature in a tulip glass, and pairs with desserts based on dried fruit, dark chocolate or aged cheeses; the wooden case also makes it an excellent gift choice or a fine addition to a collection.
