La Licorne Bas Armagnac 1989 by SASU Un Petit Grain presents itself as a spirit with a mature, controlled personality: brut de fût, 70 cl, with the kind of substance that comes from letting the wood speak without artifice. On the nose there are deep, well-integrated sensations — ripe stone fruit, notes of dried fruit and a base of sweet spices that blend with a light toastiness. The palate is warm and rounded, well-structured, with an oily texture that supports sapidity and persistence; its cleanliness and balance make it enjoyable both for those seeking complexity and for those who prefer a discreet pairing.

The wooden box packaging emphasizes a respectful approach to the product, ideal for a meditative pause or as a thoughtful gift for a collector. Serve at room temperature or slightly warmed with the palm of the hand to release the aromas; it pairs gracefully with dark chocolate, aged cheeses or a rich coffee, without ever overpowering them. An Armagnac that speaks of time and restraint, to be discovered slowly.
